IODE in Canada
Founded in 1900, IODE Canada is a national women's charitable organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals through education support, community service, and citizenship programs.
The Sarnia-Lambton Municipal Chapter began on April 8th, 1938. The founders chose the motto, "Laborare Fideliter" which means "to labour faithfully."

Municipal Chapter President Helen Danby and Citizenship Officer Leila Boushy were honoured to present a cheque of $90,000 to John Howitt, Director of Education, and Bryan McKay Superintendent of Business, to the Lambton-Kent District School Board. This endowment will provide IODE scholarships and bursaries to Lambton County students for the next decade. Students may apply through their Student Services departments at their local schools.
